ALGAE: Algae, particularly in the form of an essence, is rich in mineral salts, amino acids, vitamins A, C, B1, B12, E, PP, K, D and trace elements, and is therefore highly beneficial to skin health. It nourishes and hydrates the skin; promotes cell regeneration; detoxifies; purifies and oxygenates the skin; enhancing its texture and tone. |

|
ALOE VERA: Used by Cleopatra and hailed by ancient Greek physicians as a miracle plant, the gel of the aloe vera plant has as many as 75 nutrients. It is well know for its beneficial effect on the skin: it soothes itching; helps restore the skin's natural glow; nourishes and hydrates skin cells; destroys bacteria; helps burns and cuts heal faster;, minimizes scarring; relieves the heat of sunburned skin and helps it heal; and relieves inflammation and redness. |

|
BORAGE SEED: The oil extracted from the seeds of the borage plant (Borago officinalis) has the highest concentration (22%-25%) of gamma linolenic acid (GLA) naturally found in the plant world. GLA is an Omega 6 fatty acid, which is essential for good health. Borage seed oil promotes cell strengthening and renewal. It has also been shown to be beneficial to skin affected by acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea; to alleviate the effects of environmental pollutants; and reduce damage from free radicals, which is exhibited in premature aging of the skin. |
 |
EVENING PRIMROSE: The oil extracted from the seeds of the evening primrose (Oenothera biennis) is rich in health enhancing beta sitosterol and sitosterol, contains 9% gamma linolenic acid (GLA) and has anti-aging properties. It hydrates extremely dry skin and rejuvenates it; helps smooth rough skin; improves skin elasticity; decreases fine lines and wrinkles; firms the skin; helps repair the skin at the cellular level and produce new skin cells; helps lighten dark circles under the eyes; helps minimize skin discoloration; and helps reduce inflammation associated with skin disorders such as roscea. |

JOJOBA: Nutrient rich oil extracted from the jojoba plant, which is similar in composition to the body's natural sebum, acts as an easily absorbed natural moisturizer. Yet, precisely because of this similarity, it also prevents the skin from becoming too oily, by tricking it into producing less natural sebum, which, unlike jojoba, can clog pores. Jojoba oil contains important nutrients, such as vitamin E, B complex vitamins, and the minerals silicon, chromium, copper, iodine and zinc. Due to its antimicrobial properties, it helps protect the skin from bacterial and fungal microbes. It may help treat acne, both by reducing sebum production and by protecting the skin from harmful bacteria. Jojoba is also believed to help prevent rosacea and psoriasis. |

SHEA: The butter prepared from the shea nut is a powerful antioxidant with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. It is a natural anti-aging agent that nourishes and rejuvenates skin cells; combats wrinkles; diminishes age spots, skin discoloration and stretch marks. Shea nut butter also helps reduce acne and alleviate the effects of various skin ailments, including eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Furthermore, it is also unique in its ability to screen out the sun's harmful rays, acting as a sunscreen with a UV protection factor of SFP 6. |

VITAMIN E: An antioxidant that plays a vital role in protecting skin cells from environmental pollution and free radicals. It also helps counter the effects of aging by reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and by helping reduce trans-epidermal water loss and strengthening the skin's barrier function. Furthermore, it protects the epidermis from the early stages of ultra-violet light damage. Additionally, vitamin E is beneficial for reducing the effects of skin conditions such as psoriasis. |
| VITAMIN K: Plays an important role in maintaining the skin's elasticity, and in the transfer of cells from the internal layer of the epidermis (the germinative layer) to the external layer (the corneum layer) - as part of the natural process of skin regeneration. Vitamin K also helps reduce rosacea, spider veins, scars and stretch marks. |
| OMEGA 3: Helps keep skin cells moist and strong, the skin soft, supple and radiant. It supplies the body with cellular building blocks for skin rejuvenation, and helps reduce acne and skin inflammation. |
| OMEGA 6: Crucial for the development of healthy skin cells and cell membrane formation. Without omega 6, skin cells are unable to retain adequate levels of moisture, resulting in dry skin. |
